During the Toronto International Film Festival, Thomas Sangster and his Death of a Superhero love interest Aisling Loftus sat down for a very in-depth interview about the film, getting into character, their friendship, among other topics.
Despite the deep subject matter of the film, the two found time to relax on their downtime. One of the things he likes about Aisling is that "she doesn't take any bullsh***", and she treated him like a normal person. The two also discussed how she found out he didn't like her much at first, for that reason, but he came to like her because her attitude was "refereshing", and they had the most fun during breaks from filming, doing chill things, like "going for a few beers" (For the record, he wouldn't be having beers with me xD).
Something I thought was cute was when the interviewer mentions seeing Abbie Cornish, who appeared with Thomas in Bright Star. I like Abbie too, so to hear a bit about her and see Thomas's cute reaction was nice.
He also talked about things like his proficiency on a motorcycle, which I knew about but to hear him talk about was more exciting than seeing photos and talking to friends about it.
The overall tone of the interview seems much more relaxed than many of his other ones. While he is mostly professional in most of them, and rather shy about discussing his personal life, he does talk a bit about some personal things relevant to his work, which is exciting.
